Oregon Arts Comission Grant Recipient
MECCA is one of nine organizations statewide to be recognized with a $1000 grant by the Oregon Arts Commission. The award is given to smaller arts organizations with records of solid programming and service. Grants may be used for activities that help raise an organization's profile or attract other funds. "We know that the funding helps arts groups increase resources, stabilize programs and launch new initiatives. We view the Recognition Grants as a way to add the Commission's 'seal of approval' to Oregon's varied and vibrant arts groups," said Christine D'Arcy, Executive Director of the Arts Commission.
