Community Art Workshop Instructors
Details:
- Workshop topics may include: silkscreen, printmaking, sewing, painting/mixed media, ceramics, paper mache, jewelry making, collage/assemblage, mosaics, bookmaking, and metalcraft - or whatever your area of expertise is!
PROJECTS MUST INCORPORATE RECYCLED/REUSED MATERIALS and place an emphasis on environmental sustainability.
- Workshop level: (a) Kids ages 5-12 or (b) Beginning adult, ages 16+
- Workshop dates and times Kids' workshop times will be Saturdays from 10am-12pm. Adult workshop times are flexible: possible time slots include: Evening (6:30-8:30 or 6:30-9:30) or weekend classes. Workshops may run for multiple weeks.
- Rate of pay: $15-20/hour, depending on experience.
- Location: Workshops will take place at MECCA's classroom, at 43 W. Broadway in downtown Eugene.
Desired qualifications:
- Artistic expertise in workshop topics.
- Experience with and enthusiasm for teaching older teens and adults.
- Ability to creatively incorporate recycled and reused materials into projects.
